CareAR Now Offers Browser Support and Google Glass Capabilities

The features in CareAR 21.05 offer added flexibility to make your user experience even better. Highlights include accessing CareAR via a web browser and having the option to go hands-free using the app’s new smart glasses capabilities.

Browser Support

Time is money. So, when you’re in a time-sensitive situation, you can reduce downtime by starting a CareAR session faster through our new web browser-based access, without downloading the CareARTM Assist app first. This upgrade makes our platform even more user friendly, since you can choose to access an AR session via URL, downloaded app, or a combination of the two, depending on the situation. Browser access is compatible with iOS devices running iOS 11 or later via Mobile Safari/WebKit 11 or later, Android handheld devices and smart glasses running Android 8 and later via Google Chrome 28.

Google Glass Enterprise Edition 2 Capabilities

You now have the ability to go hands-free using CareAR remote assistance through  Glass Enterprise Edition 2 smart glasses (other wearables will be added later). Users can run the app for smart glasses without also having to run the CareAR Assist app on any other devices. Multiple remote experts can join a session, with no cap on the number of users.
